ಪೀಠಿಕೆ: “ಗಾದೆಗಳು ವೇದಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ವೇದ ಸುಳ್ಳಾದರೂ ಗಾದೆ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ಅನುಭವದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಗಾದೆಗಳ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಗಾದೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ “ಕೂಡಿ ಬಾಳಿದರೆ ಸ್ವರ್ಗ ಸುಖ” ಎಂಬುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿದೆ.
ವಿವರಣೆ: ಕೂಡಿ ಬಾಳುವುದು ಎಂದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಬಾಳುವುದು ಎಂದರ್ಥ. ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಸಮಾಜಜೀವಿ. ಅವನು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಬದುಕಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆ, ತಾಯಿ, ಅಣ್ಣ, ತಮ್ಮ, ಅಕ್ಕ, ತಂಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಜೊತೆ ಸೇರಿ ಬಾಳಿದಾಗ ಸಿಗುವ ಸಂತೋಷವೇ ಬೇರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ದೂರಾಗುತ್ತವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಖ ನೂರರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕೋಪ, ಜಗಳಗಳು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ತೊಂದರೆಗಳು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಷ್ಟದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡೀ ಕುಟುಂಬವೇ ಬೆಂಬಲವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದಾಗ ಆ ಮನೆಯೇ ಒಂದು ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಸ್ವರ್ಗದಂತೆ ಕಂಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟು ಕೇವಲ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗಿರಬಾರದು. ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಇಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾತಿ, ಮತ, ಭಾಷೆ ಎಂಬ ಭೇದಭಾವದಿಂದ ಜನರು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಜಗಳ ಆಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶಾಂತಿ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರ ಬದಲಾಗಿ, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಹಬ್ಬ ಹರಿದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಒಬ್ಬರ ಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಹೆಗಲು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾ, ಒಂದೇ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳಂತೆ ಸ್ನೇಹದಿಂದ ಬಾಳಬೇಕು.
ಉಪಸಂಹಾರ: ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಕಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಮುರಿಯಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಅದೇ ಕಡ್ಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಕಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಮುರಿಯಲು ಯಾರಿಂದಲೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದನ್ನೇ “ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವಿದೆ” ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಭೇದಭಾವಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಬಾಳಿದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸದಾ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ನಾವು ಬದುಕುವ ಭೂಮಿಯೇ ಸ್ವರ್ಗವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದೇ ಈ ಗಾದೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಂದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ.

Introduction: There is a saying that “Proverbs are equal to the Vedas.” Even if the Vedas could turn out to be untrue, proverbs never fail. Our elders have given us their life experiences in the form of proverbs. Among such beautiful proverbs, “Living together in unity brings the ultimate heavenly happiness” is one of the most important.
Explanation: Living together means living with everyone in unity, love, and trust. Human beings are social animals; a person cannot live entirely alone. The happiness we get when we live together with our father, mother, brothers, and sisters in a family is truly special. When everyone stands together, difficulties are easily overcome, and happiness multiplies a hundredfold.
When everyone in a home lives in harmony, there is no place for anger or fights. By helping one another, financial difficulties do not arise. During hard times, the entire family stands as a strong pillar of support. When love and peace increase in a family this way, that home shines just like a beautiful heaven.
This unity should not be limited to the home alone. We must also stay united in our schools, villages, society, and country. Nowadays, people are fighting with each other over differences in caste, religion, and language. This creates unrest in society. Instead of that, we should celebrate festivals together, support each other in times of trouble, and live with friendship like children of the same mother.
Conclusion: We can easily break a single small stick. However, if we bundle those same sticks together, no one can break them. This is what we mean by “Unity is strength.” If we leave behind our selfishness, forget our differences, and live together by loving everyone, there will always be peace in our lives. The main message of this proverb is that the very place we live will transform into heaven.
