ವೇದ ಸುಳ್ಳಾದರು ಗಾದೆ ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗದು. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತ ತಾಯಿ ಕಣ್ಣಲ್ಲಿ ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿನಾಡು ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಇವರಿಬ್ಬರು ಸ್ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮಿಗಿಲು.

ಪೀಠಿಕೆ: “ಗಾದೆಗಳು ವೇದಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ” ಎಂಬ ಮಾತಿದೆ. ವೇದಗಳು ಸುಳ್ಳಾದರೂ ಗಾದೆಗಳು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಗಾದೆಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ಜೀವನದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಾಠಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಳವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ಗಾದೆಯು ನಮಗೆ ಜನ್ಮ ನೀಡಿದ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಾಕಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ ದೇಶದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ವಿಷಯ ವಿವರಣೆ: ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೇವರು ಬೇರೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಒಂಬತ್ತು ತಿಂಗಳು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು, ಹೆರಿಗೆಯ ನೋವನ್ನು ತಡೆದು ತಾಯಿ ನಮಗೆ ಜನ್ಮ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ತನ್ನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೇ ಹಾಲನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೀಡಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ತಾಯಿಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ತ್ಯಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ, ನಾವು ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ನಾಡು ಅಥವಾ ಮಾತೃಭೂಮಿ ಕೂಡ ನಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿಯೇ ಆಗಿದೆ. ನಮಗೆ ಊಟ, ಕುಡಿಯಲು ನೀರು ಮತ್ತು ಉಸಿರಾಡಲು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಈ ಭೂಮಿತಾಯಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಹೆತ್ತ ತಾಯಿ ನಮಗೆ ಜನ್ಮ ನೀಡಿದರೆ, ಈ ನಾಡು ನಮಗೆ ಬದುಕಲು ಆಶ್ರಯ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತ ತಾಯಿ ಕಣ್ಣಲ್ಲಿ ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿನಾಡು ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
ಸ್ವರ್ಗ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸುಂದರವಾದ, ಸುಖವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುವ ಜಾಗ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಕೊಡುವ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮಡಿಲು ಮತ್ತು ನಮಗೆ ಬದುಕು ನೀಡಿದ ತಾಯ್ನಾಡು ಆ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಮಿಗಿಲಾದುದು (ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದುದು). ರಾಮಾಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಕೂಡ “ಹೆತ್ತ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಜನ್ಮಭೂಮಿ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ ಇವರಿಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಮರೆಯುವುದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ತಪ್ಪು. ಇವರ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಉಪಸಂಹಾರ: ಕೊನೆಯದಾಗಿ, ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಯ್ನಾಡು ನಮ್ಮ ಎರಡು ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿದ್ದಂತೆ. ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ವರ್ಗದ ಸುಖ ಸಿಗದಿದ್ದರೂ ಪರವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶದ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಿಕ್ಕರೆ ಅದೇ ನಮಗೆ ಪರಮ ಸುಖ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದೇ ಈ ಗಾದೆಯ ಸರಳ ಸಂದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ.

Content Description: There is no greater god in this world than a mother. A mother carries us for nine months, endures the pain of childbirth and gives birth to us. She feeds us with her own blood as milk. A mother’s love and sacrifice cannot be put at a price. Similarly, the land or motherland where we were born and raised is also our mother. This motherland gives us food, water to drink and air to breathe. If our mother gives birth to us, this land gives us shelter to live. Our mother looks after us with her eyes. Similarly, our motherland gives us what we need for our life.
It is said that heaven is the most beautiful, happiest and most loved place by everyone. However, the lap of a mother who gives us love right before our eyes and the homeland that gave us life are greater than that heaven. In the Ramayana, Lord Rama also said, “Our mother and our homeland are greater than heaven.” It is a big mistake to forget these two who raised us. Serving them is the main duty of all of us.
