Anadana grade 6th kannada lesson. Anadana means rice donation written by Chandrashekhar Kambar. A humble mother and her young son lived a difficult life, surviving by collecting leftover food from nearby homes. Though their meals were scarce, the kind-hearted mother always set aside a portion to share with the needy, often going hungry herself. Her son, puzzled by her actions, once asked, “Mother, why do you give away food when we ourselves have so little, Anadana? Wouldn’t it be better to save it for us?”
With a gentle smile, the mother explained, “Food donation, or Anna Daana, is one of the highest forms of charity. It may not bring us wealth, but it brings blessings that are far greater.”
Still not convinced, the boy decided to seek a deeper answer. He set out to find Lord Shiva, hoping to understand the true value of his mother’s actions. On his journey through a dense forest, he met a kind hunter who welcomed him warmly. The hunter gave him fruits and milk, and even offered him a place to sleep, while he and his wife slept near the entrance of their hut.
That night, tragedy struck. A tiger attacked and killed the hunter and his wife.
When the boy finally reached Lord Shiva, he asked about the meaning and rewards of Anna Daana. Shiva gently revealed, “The hunter who shared his food and shelter with you has been reborn as a prince because of his selfless deed. But his wife, who hesitated to give, has been reborn as a pig.”
Shocked and deeply moved, the boy now understood the immense spiritual merit of food donation.
Even the smallest act of feeding the hungry can have powerful, life-changing effects. True compassion lies in sharing what little we have — and such generosity never goes unnoticed by the divine.

I. ಪದಗಳ ಅರ್ಥ. (Word Meaning)

ಅ) ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿರಿ. ( Answer the following in one sentence)
